Amble review

What it is

Amble is an online platform that links patients with licensed clinicians for weight loss and anti-aging treatments. It describes itself as a managed services provider: it does not give medical advice, fill prescriptions or act as a pharmacy [1]. Clinicians in its network prescribe, and partner pharmacies ship the medication.

What it prescribes

For weight loss, Amble sells compounded GLP-1 injections taken once a week [2]. We found no brand-name GLP-1, such as Wegovy or Zepbound, offered on its weight-loss pages. Amble’s own disclaimer says compounded medications are not FDA-approved for safety or effectiveness [3]. FDA goes further and says compounded drugs should be used only when an approved drug cannot meet the patient’s medical need [4]. Amble also sells NAD+, sermorelin and emergency medicine kits, which are not weight-loss drugs.

What it costs

Amble prices its compounded GLP-1 plans the same at every dose. The monthly price depends on how long you commit:

Medication, supplies and shipping are included, and the company says there are no hidden fees [6]. HSA and FSA cards work only on plans of 3 months or longer [7]. The price is not locked forever: its site says pricing can change with supply or market conditions [8]. Its FAQ says pricing is flat-rate without insurance, so plan on paying cash.

Signing up and cancelling

Most people start with an online health review. Patients in New Mexico, Kansas, West Virginia, Louisiana and Mississippi need a short video or audio visit first [9].

You can ask to stop future renewals at any time [10]. The catch is timing: the request must reach Amble at least 15 days before your next billing date, or you may be charged again [11]. At checkout you also agree that no part of a treatment plan can be cancelled or refunded once the pharmacy starts filling it [12]. The discounted multi-month prices come with that multi-month commitment [13], so the 3-month and 6-month plans are money you should expect to spend in full.

Amble says it is available in all 50 states, with exclusions it does not spell out [14]. Check your state during intake.

Safety and regulatory record

We searched FDA’s warning letter database for Amble and Amble Health and found no letter. That does not change the basic point that FDA has not approved the compounded drugs it sells. If you are sent vials, ask your provider exactly how to measure each dose.

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere

Amble suits someone who has chosen a compounded GLP-1, wants one predictable price at every dose, and is comfortable with firm refund rules.
