What it is

Enhance.MD is an online weight-management service built around compounded GLP-1 injections. Its site describes Enhance.MD LLC as the business and support layer, while the clinicians who prescribe work for two separate medical practices, Enhance Wellness PC and iThriveMD PC [1]. Partner pharmacies fill the prescriptions and ship them to your home.

What it prescribes

The GLP-1 menu has three main plans. Core uses compounded semaglutide, Advanced uses compounded tirzepatide, and Elite combines the two in one plan; a lower-dose tirzepatide plan is also listed. The product pages state plainly that the formulation is compounded and not FDA-approved [2]. That matters: FDA does not check compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness or quality before they reach patients [3]. We found no brand-name GLP-1, such as Wegovy or Zepbound, offered on its pages. It also sells NAD+ products, which are not GLP-1 medicines.

What it costs

Each plan has one price at every dose, and a longer prepaid term lowers the monthly figure. The first order gets a discount, which is left out below.

The Core price includes four weeks of medication, provider care, lab tests every six months, supplies, coaching and platform access [7]. Shipping is free and the price does not rise with the dose [8]. Note that a “month” here is 28 days, so paying month to month means 13 charges a year, not 12 [9]. FSA and HSA cards are not accepted, which rules out paying with pre-tax money at checkout [10]. We found nothing on its pages about insurance paying for the medication.

Signing up and cancelling

You fill in a medical intake form, then get blood drawn at a Quest Diagnostics lab before a video visit with a provider [11]. New patients need a BMI of at least 25 to qualify [12]. If a provider decides you are not a candidate, the company says it refunds you [13]. You can pause or cancel at any time [14], but prescription products cannot be returned once shipped [15].

Enhance.MD is not open everywhere. Its FAQ lists 40 states plus Washington, DC [16]. Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, South Carolina and Tennessee are not on that list.

Safety and regulatory record

We searched FDA’s warning letter database for Enhance.MD and both named medical practices and found no letter. That is a clean record, not an endorsement of the product. FDA’s position is that compounded drugs should be used only when an approved drug cannot meet the patient’s medical need [17]. Ask your prescriber why a compounded version is right for you rather than a brand-name one.

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere

It suits someone in a covered state who wants lab work, provider visits and coaching bundled with a compounded GLP-1 at one flat price. Look elsewhere if you want an FDA-approved brand-name drug, want to pay with an FSA or HSA card, or live in one of the states it does not serve.
