Lavender Sky Health review

What it is

Lavender Sky Health is a pay-per-visit telehealth practice. It prescribes brand-name GLP-1s such as Zepbound and Wegovy, and it sells compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide made by a list of partner pharmacies. You pay a consult fee for the provider’s time, and the medicine is billed separately [1].

What it prescribes

Both kinds, handled differently. Brand-name drugs are prescribed to the pharmacy of your choice, and you pay that pharmacy for the medicine [5]. The list covers Zepbound, Mounjaro, Wegovy, Ozempic and Foundayo, in pen or pill form. The compounded plans come from several pharmacies, each with its own strengths and prices [10]. FDA says compounded drugs are not FDA approved and are not reviewed for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are sold [18].

Follow-up visits are due every six months on an active plan and every year on maintenance [4]. Compounded plans include the drug, shipping, supplies and support [9]. The compounded prices above come from one pharmacy, Hallandale, and differ at the others [10]. Foundayo pills are listed at the maker’s direct price, from $299 to $699 a month [8].

Lavender Sky does not process insurance claims or prior authorizations [15]. A brand-name prescription still goes to your chosen pharmacy, so ask your plan about coverage first; our guide to prior authorization explains that step.

Where it operates

Lavender Sky says it serves all 50 states and DC [16]. Not every pharmacy ships every drug to every state, so check your state before booking.

Signing up and cancelling

There is no subscription to cancel. The practice says it does not run recurring billing, so nothing is charged unless you book a visit or place an order [17]. A search of FDA’s warning letter database for Lavender Sky Health and its web address returned no warning letter when this page was updated. Its compounded plans are still not FDA approved [18]. The brand-name drugs it prescribes are.
