What it is
Calibrate is a coaching program built around a GLP-1 prescription, which it calls a Metabolic Reset. It starts with a 20-minute video visit with a clinician, including a review of your lab work [3], then adds a curriculum on food, exercise, sleep and emotional health [4] and a smart scale that syncs with its app [5]. Calibrate describes its coaching sessions as every two weeks [19].
The first three months include one clinician visit, program content, coaching, a welcome kit and help with pharmacy benefits [20].
What it prescribes
Calibrate’s clinicians prescribe brand-name GLP-1s, and its pricing page names Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro, Foundayo and Zepbound [2]. To see which of these FDA has approved for weight loss, read our approved uses guide. We found no compounded GLP-1 on its pages.
What it costs
The program is $199 a month with a 3-month minimum, so the first commitment is $597 [1]. After that it renews one month at a time [11].
Labs and medicine are not included; Calibrate works with commercial or employer insurance to get them covered [6]. It says most members with commercial insurance pay $25 a month or less for the GLP-1 once the deductible is met [7]. The program fee itself is never covered by insurance, but it is HSA and FSA eligible [8]. Calibrate does not bill insurance, Medicare or Medicaid for its own services [9].
Calibrate publishes no cash prices for the medicine. Its FAQ only says clinicians review self-pay options during the visit [10]. For that reason our price table shows Calibrate only when you filter for insurance. If you plan to pay cash, compare what LillyDirect and NovoCare charge. Every fee we could source is on our Calibrate cost page.
Signing up and cancelling
The first 3 months are a fixed term billed in installments [1]. You can end the agreement at any time after that initial term by emailing Calibrate [12]. Calibrate does not refund a term once paid, and it does not waive unpaid installments during the first 3 months [13]. In practice, joining commits you to $597 even if you stop after one month [1] [13].
Its money-back promise refunds half of the membership fees paid if you lose less than 10% of your weight over 12 straight months [14]. You only qualify if you paid for the program yourself [15] and took no prescription weight-loss medicine in the twelve months before joining [16]. The refund leaves out medicine, labs and discounts [17]. Our cancelling guide has a checklist.
Safety and regulatory record
Calibrate prescribes FDA-approved brand-name medicines [2], and the medicine is billed outside the program [6]. GLPLens searched FDA’s warning-letter database in September and found no letter to Calibrate about GLP-1 products. It is available in all 50 states plus the District of Columbia [18].
Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere
Calibrate suits people with commercial or employer insurance that covers a GLP-1, who want a structured program with regular coaching and are ready to stay at least three months.
Look elsewhere if you will pay cash for the drug, since Calibrate publishes no drug prices, or if you are on Medicare or Medicaid. It is also a poor fit if you want to try a program for a single month.
